I provide therapy services to young adults and couples located Virginia. My approach to therapy is relationally focused, goal oriented, and tailored to each individual or couple and their respective mental health needs. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is founded upon privacy and confidentiality. When contracted directly with an insurance company, I can no longer guarantee complete privacy of your information. Additionally, insurance companies often dictate the amount of sessions clients are allowed, which I feel restricts the therapeutic process and therefore can act as a barrier to successful client outcomes. For these reasons, I am currently an out of network provider for all major insurance plans.

If you choose to work with me as an out of network provider, you will be responsible for paying for your selected service in full at the time of your session. I currently accept online payments only. A credit-card is required to schedule an appointment (all major CC’s accepted) and your card will be billed within 24 hours of your session. HSA and FSA cards are also accepted.

I am happy to provide you with paperwork that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. It is important to call your insurance plan to clarify whether or not you are eligible for reimbursement with out of network providers prior to your session.

Yes! Each client will be provided with paperwork called a “SuperBill” that you can submit to your insurance plan for possible reimbursement. You will need to check with your individual insurance plan to see how much they will reimburse for out of network providers.

We never want financial constraints to be the reason someone can’t access therapy. Our counseling intern, McKennly, offers counseling sessions priced at $30 per session. Learn more here.

Counseling interns are pre-licensed professionals. They are enrolled in an accredited masters of counseling program and work directly with a licensed provider to start accruing their hours for licensure. They consult and collaborate with their supervisors on their cases, meaning that as a client you are essentially getting the benefits of two therapists & their knowledge/expertise. Additionally, working with a counseling intern is a great option for folks who do not have insurance or do not wish to use insurance for their sessions.

A SuperBill is an itemized list of services provided to the client (essentially a receipt) that the client can then submit to their insurance plan for reimbursement. The SuperBill will contain important information such as provider information, practice information, CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, and other details.

All forms of credit (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover) are accepted as payment. This will include the option to pay with your HSA or FSA card which has a tax benefit. Your payment information will be stored in a HIPPA compliant, secure, online portal.
